De Poezenboot

Kicking the weekend off on the right foot, Aron and I paid a visit to the happy kitties of 'De Poezenboot.'

To provide a little context to what we considered a major outing, "De Poezenboot," which translates literally to "The Cat Boat," is a houseboat sitting on the Singel canal, remodeled and completely devoted to the nobel profession of  sheltering felines. It's been on my To-Do List before I even got to Amsterdam.

Hallo good sir!

We made the ten minute walk from my dorm to the boat, forging through a slight drizzle, our enthusiasm entirely undeterred by the weather. Today's voyage was made in loving memory of Tiger, Aron's recently passed cat. RIP Tiger, you were one of the good ones. After a tough week, we both needed a little dose of kitty lovin.

The little houseboat is stuffed with kitty beds and playthings.

We were ver sad not to be able to pet this kitty.

Extended my hand in a friendly gesture to this lil guy, was met with a clawed swipe. Rude.

This cat was the homie and let us pet him endlessly.

If you're Snapchat friends with me, you know how obsessed I am with my cat, Finn. There's obviously no substitution, but I'll take any cat contact I can get.
