Thinking Out Loud: Reflections from 2020 on Life, Love and More, from Arjun Desai
Note: This post was contributed by writer, singer and marketer Arjun Desai, as part of the Blue Sky Mind Friendship Series.
Hi there, I’m Arjun. Avid Blue Sky Mind fan, friend of its founder, beginner singer and writer, and lover of all things words.
I’ve been writing for the last few years, and it’s been a joy for me (especially during quarantine) to spectate and catch all the thoughts floating around my head. A journey to “thinking out loud” - which is the theme of my blog.
Blue Sky Mind was generous enough to give me a little space here, and with it, I wanted to share 10 pieces of writing in 2020 that may resonate with you as you navigate your ocean in 2021 (hopefully, less stormy!). Happy reading.
Reflections from Arjun Desai
Tell them - A call to always share your feelings, even when it’s hard.
Linear paths & washing machines: How grief can feel topsy-turvy, but why it’s meant to feel this way.
Full body yes. Your body is reacting. Are you listening?
Did you intend to? Separating what you meant and how it felt.
Connected by love or blood: Family can mean whatever you define it as.
Holding the Door & My Invisible Knapsack: Grappling with my privilege and silence.
Porch, Kitchen & Dining: Creating healthy boundaries in our relationship house.
Meet at their spot: Finding people at their best is a win-win.
5 comfort languages: How to tailor comfort to our loved ones.
Juggling rubber vs glass: Rethinking how we prioritize.
A huge and utter thank you to Blue Sky Mind for inviting me into this beautiful corner. To the BSM readers, may you continue to find comfort and inspiration from this place as much as I have had!
